Challenge: Vancouver is a bustling tourist destination, but finding affordable and high-quality bed and breakfasts in the city center can be challenging without online booking sites. The Windsor, Douglas, and Cambie guest houses have been owned by the same group for decades, but they do not have an online booking system. Additionally, they lack a flexible and laterally-compatible digital system to respond to marketing tools and integration, resulting in being generally under-booked. To improve their operations, all three B&Bs require internal bookings systems and operations management systems.
Solution: We introduced and integrated a scalable, fully redundant, multi-channel booking, and client relations online content and communications management system. To achieve this, we utilized channel management programs that can connect to a long list of Airbnb-type websites worldwide. Additionally, we centralized the booking, email, file redundancy and customer management system into a simple-to-use content management system, and the cost to our clients was less than ten dollars per day.
Result: Since the development of this new system the B&B has been fully booked. They have also been able to expand their efforts into working on developing their guest houses into several-star facilities.
