Challenge: Develop an art, nature, and technology education program for students ages 5-18.

Solutions: PiSparks: Playful Arts & Technology
PiSparks is an art, nature, and technology education program for students ages 5-18. PiSparks uses a blend of online e-learning components and offline tangible activities. PiSparks provides places for students to engage in rapid prototyping activities, allowing technical learning in an integrated educational and entertaining environment (Edutainment). PiSparks Edutainment Programs are tailored to connect directly to industry partners allowing students to showcase and potentially release their creations into the marketplace. PiSparks creative competitions are held, and our industrial partners give scholarships to students who win design competitions. Students gain access to a wide range of related interdisciplinary subjects, including; New Digital Media, Computer Coding, Create Electronics, Body Learning, Materials Learning, and Playful Industrial Design (see Curriculum Map). Microcredit or Microcredential (Badges) are issued to students who complete our online project-based learning (PBL) programs.
